The European Migration Network has published the Inform Alternatives to providing housing in-kind for applicants for international protection. Based on contributions from 22 EMN Member Countries, as well as Norway and Serbia, the Inform maps national approaches used between January 2020 and October 2025.

The European Migration Network has published the updated Inform Statelessness in the European Union, Norway, Georgia and Serbia. The publication provides a comprehensive overview of developments in the field of statelessness across participating EMN Member and Observer Countries, covering the period up to 31 October 2025. 

The Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), as members of EMN Slovakia, organised a thematic meeting titled Cultural Orientation in the Context of International Protection on 2 June 2026 in Bratislava. Representatives of the Czech and Slovak Ministries of Interior, the non-governmental sector and the international organisation presented current approaches, methods and trends in the field of cultural orientation for asylum applicants and beneficiaries of international protection granted in the form of asylum or subsidiary protection.

In May, representatives of the Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, ministries and partner organizations took part in a two-day facilitator training focused on improving communication on migration, which also included the interactive role-play activity Destination Europe. The training was part of the preparation of a communication training package developed by IOM under the Technical Support Instrument project, supporting the preparation of the Action Plan for the National Strategy of the Slovak Republic on Asylum and Migration Management.

On 28 April 2026, students of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica took part in the Destination Europe workshop, which was organised within the activities of EMN Slovakia. The interactive workshop was attended by 46 students, who explored how decisions in the field of migration policies are made and what factors influence them.
