Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic and International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the members of the National Contact Point of the European Migration Network (EMN) for the Slovak Republic organized an EMN thematic meeting “Intercultural work of helping professions in asylum facilities and in integration of people from Ukraine”. The meeting took place on 12 and 13 October 2022 in Piešťany.

The EMN National Contact Point in the Czech Republic organized a two-day conference entitled EU and Labour Migration: Needs, Strategies and Challenges. The conference took place as part of the Czech EU Presidency on 5 and 6 October 2022 in Prague.

During the months of September and October, the representatives of International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the coordinator of the European Migration Network (EMN) in Slovakia gave lectures on migration to the students of the Academy of Police Force in Bratislava. As part of a series of lectures, the students also participated in a workshop related to the educational activity Destination Europe.

International Organization for Migration (IOM) as a member of the National Contact Point of the European Migration Network (EMN) for the Slovak Republic and Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family organized an EMN thematic meeting on labour migration of third-country nationals to the Slovak Republic, especially from the point of view of the act on employment services, residence act and their planned amendments.
