Students of the Grammar School in Púchov participated in the interactive educational activity Destination Europe

On 20 April 2023 European Migration Network (EMN) participated in an educational event for students of the Grammar School in Púchov on the topics of migration and misinformation together with Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the UN Youth Delegate of Slovakia. Representatives of International Organization for Migration (IOM) within the activities of the EMN in Slovakia prepared a workshop for students on the educational activity Destination Europe.

EMN inform provides an overview on accompanied children’s right to be heard in international protection procedures

Children who migrate with their parents face unique challenges and vulnerabilities. That's why it's crucial that their right to express their views is fully implemented in international protection procedures. This inform provides an overview of how the right of accompanied children to be heard is being implemented in EMN Member Countries and Norway. It includes good practices, challenges, and lessons learned.

Join the EU Talent Pool Pilot, which helps Ukrainians to find work in the European Union

Were you forced to flee the war in Ukraine and thanks to temporary protection you can work in the EU? Or do you know someone like that? The EU Talent Pool Pilot is a new pilot project of the European Commission, which makes it easier for people with temporary protection to find work in the Union. Last year, the European Commission, the European Labour Authority (ELA), the European Employment Services (EURES), EU Member States and the European Migration Network (EMN), which is coordinated in Slovakia by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), participated in its creation.

New EMN inform explores prospects for displaced persons in non-EU first reception and transit countries

More than half of responding EMN Member Countries have strategies and policies in place to enhance the prospects of displaced persons in non-EU countries of first reception and transit. The objectives range from reducing the root causes of irregular migration and forced displacement to the promotion of dignity, self-reliance and human rights of forcibly displaced persons and host communities.
