Cluster Meeting Experiences in Organising the EMN Annual Conference, Bratislava, June 27, 2014

On June 27, 2014 the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) organised a Cluster Meeting on the topic Experiences in Organising the EMN Annual Conference. The meeting was attended by representatives of National Contact Points from Member States which have already organised the conference (Poland, Lithuania and Greece) as well as those state which are preparing this event in the future (Latvia, Luxembourg and Slovak Republic). Besides, a delegate from the EMN Service Provider (ICFI) took part as well.

Presentation meeting of the EMN Study “Identification of Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings in International Protection and Forced Return Procedures in the Slovak Republic”, Bratislava, 17 June 2014

On June 17, 2014, IOM Bratislava, as a coordinator of EMN in the Slovak Republic, held a presentation meeting on the EMN Focussed Study Identification of victims of trafficking in human beings in international protection and forced return procedures in the Slovak Republic. It was attended by representatives of non-governmental organisations operating in the field of counter-trafficking in the Slovak Republic (Human Rights League, Slovak Catholic Charity, People in Need).

EMN Annual Conference on Irregular Migration and Return: Challenges and Practices, Athens, 12 – 13 June 2014

EMN National Contact Point (NCP) in Greece, holding the EU Presidency in the first half of 2014, organised EMN annual conference on Irregular Migration and Return: Challenges and Practices. The conference was held in Athens on 12-13 June, 2014. The organisers welcomed 180 participants including representatives from the European Commission, 28 EMN National Contact Points, international and regional organisations (e.g. the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, International Organization for Migration, Migration Policy Institute), national and international academics and researchers, and representatives from governmental departments in third countries.
