On March 21, 2014, the seminar entitled Political Unrest in Ukraine: Socio-Economic Causes and Individual Responses was held in the premises of the Open Society Foundation in Bratislava.

Representatives of the IOM International Organization for Migration as the coordinator of the EMN National Contact Point in the Slovak Republic participated in the meeting on Cooperation Possibilities for the Information and Advisory EU Networks Operating in Slovakia.

On 16 - 17 October 2012 the Hungarian EMN National Contact Point (NCP) arranged a conference on intra-EU mobility of third country nationals together with a training on European Union law on immigration and asylum.

Representative of the EMN National Contact Point in the Slovak Republic participated in the conference entitled Migration, demography and labour markets - Long term processes and linkages that took place in Bratislava on 19 September 2012.

Another interesting conference on labour migration was organised by the EMN National Contact Point (NCP) in Germany. It was entitled Migration of skilled labour from Asia to Germany and Europe and held on June 24, 2013 in Nuremberg.
