On November 3 2014, International Organization for Migration (IOM) as a coordinator of EMN activities in Slovakia organised working breakfast on the upcoming EMN focussed study titled Admitting third-country nationals on business purposes. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Alien Police of the Police Force Presidium, Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic and Slovak Investment and Trade Agency (SARIO).

On October 24 2014, EMN National Contact Point (NCP) in Germany organised the international conference with the title Unaccompanied Minors - Between Refugee Experience, Youth Welfare, and Residence Law. The event was held in Nuremberg and was attended by two Slovak EMN NCP representatives.

EMN National Contact Point (NCP) in Hungary organised the international conference entitled Contribution of Academia to the Shaping of Migration Policies which was held in Budapest on October 14, 2014. It was attended by the Slovak EMN NCP representative.

On June 27, 2014 the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) organised a Cluster Meeting on the topic Experiences in Organising the EMN Annual Conference. The meeting was attended by representatives of National Contact Points from Member States which have already organised the conference (Poland, Lithuania and Greece) as well as those state which are preparing this event in the future (Latvia, Luxembourg and Slovak Republic). Besides, a delegate from the EMN Service Provider (ICFI) took part as well.

On June 17, 2014, IOM Bratislava, as a coordinator of EMN in the Slovak Republic, held a presentation meeting on the EMN Focussed Study Identification of victims of trafficking in human beings in international protection and forced return procedures in the Slovak Republic. It was attended by representatives of non-governmental organisations operating in the field of counter-trafficking in the Slovak Republic (Human Rights League, Slovak Catholic Charity, People in Need).
