On 07^th and 08^th of February 2024 European Migration Network (EMN) organised an educational workshop for students from the C.S. Lewis Lyceum in Bratislava. The representatives of International Organization for Migration (IOM) within the activities of the EMN in Slovakia introduced the role-playing activity Destination Europe.

We often hear from experts how important it is for migration to be managed. In the updated document Organisation of Migration and Asylum Policies in the Slovak Republic you will find which institutions and organisations are responsible for the particular areas of migration from the non-EU countries. It provides also an overview of policies, strategies and legislative acts governing international migration in the Slovak Republic, and focuses specifically on changes caused by war in Ukraine.

The European Migration Network (EMN), marked a significant milestone, celebrating 15 years of dedicated service providing objective, comparable, and policy-relevant information on emerging issues related to asylum and migration.

Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic and International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the members of the National Contact Point of the European Migration Network (EMN) for the Slovak Republic organized a small scale meeting “How to Approach Children in the Migration Process: Collaboration among Stakeholders” that took place on 22^nd November 2023 in Bratislava. The meeting provided space for sharing experience on procedures, good practices and challenges related to strategies when approaching and communicating with children during the migration process.

The EMN Spanish Presidency Conference entitled Shaping the future of EU legal migration: Where are we and where do we want to go? took place on 16-17 of November 2023 in Madrid, Spain.
