Dissemination of information on voluntary return: How to reach irregular migrants not in contact with the authorities (2015)

This EMN Inform presents the main findings from the EMN synthesis report on different approaches employed in the EU Member States and Norway to ensure that irregular migrants are informed of options for return, including voluntary and assisted voluntary return. It identifies the main challenges faced by Member States, provides information on national approaches involving migration and asylum authorities, other public authorities and other actors, describes the role of various involved actors, provides details about the tools used as well as the evaluation of the effectiveness of these tools.

Policies, Practices and Data on Unaccompanied Minors in the EU (2014)

This EMN Inform presents the main findings of the EMN synthesis report on system of protection and care for unaccompanied minors in the EU Member States and Norway including reasons for the arrival of unaccompanied minors to the EU and Norway, systems of admission, integration measures, the issue of their disappearance and escape and return and reintegration to their countries of origin.

Admitting Third-Country Nationals for Business Purposes (2014)

This EMN Inform presents the main findings of the EMN synthesis report on policies and legal frameworks regulating entry and stay of immigrant investors, immigrant business owners and other business persons. It also deals with measures to prevent abuse of migration of third-country nationals for business purposes and the evaluation of programs focused on attracting immigrant investors. 

Overview: Incentives to Return to a Third-Country and Support Provided to Migrants for their Reintegration (2014)

This EMN Inform provides an overview of 96 programmes implemented by EU Member States and Norway to support return and reintegration. It includes a description of sponsors, actors implementing the programmes and beneficiaries of incentives, characteristics of various forms of incentives and brief summary of challenges which Member States face during implementation of the programmes. The information contained in the Inform was collected via EMN Return Expert Group (REG).

Challenges and Good Practices in Return and Reintegration of Irregular Migrants to Western Africa (2014)

This EMN Inform based on the information collected via EMN Return Expert Group (REG) summarises the impact of the assisted voluntary return and reintegration programmes for irregular migrants to Western Africa. It characterises the main trends in return as well as programmes of EU Member States and Norway supporting return to Western Africa and identifies challenges and good practices including latest available statistics.

Practical Approaches and Good Practices in Return and Reintegration to Afghanistan and Pakistan (2014)

This EMN Inform based on the information collected via EMN Return Expert Group (REG) summarises the impact of the assisted voluntary return and reintegration programmes for irregular migrants to Afghanistan and Pakistan. It also identifies good practices and scope for further cooperation among EU Member States and Norway and presents the latest available statistics.

Addressing Facilitation of Irregular Migration by Boats Departing from North Africa (2014)

This EMN Inform provides a summary of information on irregular migration and smuggling by boats departing from North Africa. It also summarizes measures adopted by EU Member States in order to fight this kind of smuggling.

Case Law of the Court of Justice of the European Union Relating to Legal Migration and National Developments (2014)

This EMN Inform provides information on national and EU case law on the interpretation and application of legal instruments within the legal migration of the EU acquis (particularly regarding long-term residence, family reunification and free movement of persons in the EU).
