On 23 May 2023, a working meeting to the preparation of the National Programme of Fight against Trafficking in Human Beings for 2024 - 2028 took place in Bratislava. As part of an expert working group of the Slovak Republic, the representatives of institutions and offices working in the filed of counter-trafficking discussed the preparation of the new National Programme that will follow the current 2019 – 2023 programme.
The meeting aimed at discussing topics, proposals and suggestions to the National Programme of Fight against Trafficking in Human Beings for 2024 - 2028. The possibilities of incorporating the suggestions into the National Programme and its action plan were clarified. The vulnerabilities of victims - foreigners of human trafficking were also discussed. At the end of the meeting, the members of the expert group agreed on further steps in the preparation of the National Programme.
