EMN Small Scale Meeting on Cooperation of local/regional authorities and other actors in the field of integration of refugees in Bratislava and Kosice, Bratislava, 25 November 2016

International Organization for Migration (IOM), as the coordinator of the EMN National Contact Point for the Slovak Republic, organised together with the Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic an EMN small scale meeting for representatives of institutions engaged in the field of integration Cooperation of local/regional authorities and other actors in the field of integration of refugees in Bratislava and Kosice. The meeting took place on 25 November 2016 in Bratislava and was attended by 32 participants.

The aim of the meeting was to enhance discussion and cooperation among actors from the state administration, local/regional authorities, educational institutions, NGOs and private sector in the field of integration of beneficiaries of international protection. Apart from this, the meeting focused on identification of problematic areas, possible solutions and ways of creating effective connection between beneficiaries of international protection and the relevant actors. The meeting covered mainly integration of beneficiaries of international protection in Bratislava and Kosice. It was attended by the mayor of Bzenec, a city in the Czech Republic, who has relevant experience in this field. Selected EMN outputs were distributed during the meeting.
