On 1-2 June 2016 the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the Coordinator of the EMN National Contact Point for the Slovak Republic organised, together with the Bureau of Border and Alien Police of the Police Force Presidium, a small scale meeting for the representatives of selected bodies active in the field of law making and application process related to the legal and irregular migration of the third-country nationals to Slovakia.
The aim of this working meeting was to build upon the previous sessions and discuss the current issues from the legal practice, as well as application and implementation of the legislation connected to the residence agenda, visa regime, labour migration, legalisation of documents, etc. At the same time, the relevant latest as well as planned EMN outputs were introduced to participants and distributed among them in printed format. Among the attendants were representatives from the Bureau of Border and Alien Police of the Police Force Presidium, Alien Police directorates from Slovak regions, the Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family and IOM.
