Lecture on Migration for Students of University of Economics’ Faculty of International Relations, Bratislava, 26 October 2015

Representatives of EMN and IOM Migration Information Centre prepared for students of the University of Economics’ Faculty of International Relations introductory lecture on migration, international protection and migrant integration in the world and Slovakia. They focused on and discussed the basic terms and definitions, statistics, trends and myths related to migration. They also introduced IOM activities in Slovakia and EMN outputs which students can use in their further study and discussions.

The lecture was held on 26 October 2015 in Bratislava as a preparation for the Model Conference which is organised by the University of Economics’ Faculty of International Relations and which is preceded by the negotiations at the expert round tables. It will deal with current challenges EU faces: EU migration and asylum policy, Europe’s energy security and long-term financing of the actions against climate change.
