EMN Thematic Seminar with Representatives of the Bureau of Border and Alien Police of the Police Force Presidium and Departments of Alien Police from the Slovak Regions, Oščadnica, 23 - 25 June 2015

On 23 - 25 June 2015, International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the coordinator of the EMN National Contact Point (NCP) for the Slovak Republic together with the Bureau of the Border and Aliens Police of the Police Force Presidium organised a thematic seminar in Oscadnica for representatives of Directorates and Departments of Aliens Police from the Slovak regions.

The aim of the seminar was to present and discuss actual issues arising from application practice related to legal and irregular migration of third country nationals in the Slovak Republic. In particular, new amendment of the Act on Residence of Aliens was presented as well as topics: employment of third country nationals, implementation of visa regime, authorisation of documents issued abroad, administrative expulsion and detention. At the same time, the relevant latest as well as planned EMN outputs were introduced to participants and distributed among them in printed format.
