On May 12 – 13, 2015, International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the coordinator of the National Contact Point EMN in the Slovak Republic organized a meeting in Piestany which was attended by selected institutions operating actively in the field of asylum and international protection.
The experts of the Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic and non-governmental organisations discussed the topic of care for asylum seekers and persons with granted international protection. Moreover, solutions in problematic areas arising from existing legislation, methodology or good practice of experts were proposed. The latest outputs and planned EMN activities for the period 2015 – 2016 were also introduced during the meeting.
