Meeting with the EMN Partners from Austria and Lithuania in Bratislava, 15 - 16 March 2012

Representatives of the Austrian, Lithuanian and Slovak EMN National Contact Points participated in a cluster meeting which took part in Bratislava on 15 and 16 March 2012.

Their main concern was connected with the current and new strategies and approaches taken in processing and disseminating EMN outputs at the national level. Special focus was placed on short specialized studies, synthesis reports and their informs, quarterly reports, national conferences, expert round tables, working breakfasts, media monitoring, promotional materials, press releases and the Slovak e-newsletter which proved to be an efficient tool for disseminating EMN information and outputs in the Slovak Republic.

Further discussion was devoted to the forms of public presentation of the new EMN Glossary and the upcoming study on Imigration of International Students. Representatives of the Austrian, Lithuanian and Slovak EMN National Contact Points also agreed upon the way of EMN publications dissemination within the IOM and as new target groups identified embassies and students of the universities of the third age.

Within the financial and budgetary issues, the participants discussed the reporting procedure, final payment request report and eligibility of the costs. National Contact Points agreed to coordinate approach in the IOM internal endorsement procedure and exchanged their experiences on the theme of budgetary planning.
