On 15 March 2011 Migrants in the Spotlight working breakfast with representatives of the media was held uder the auspices of the IOM International Organization for Migration as the coordinator of the EMN National Contact Point in the Slovak Republic and Milan Šimečka Foundation.
Participants exchanged their experiences and opinions on the topic of migration and integration and its current place in the Slovak media. They discussed a joint formation of public opinion in behalf of reducing prejudices and stereotypes in the society and better migrant integration. The program included also the presentation of the European Migration Network and opportunities for using its outputs in the work of journalists as well as the presentation of the project Migrants in the Spotlight as one way to cooperate.
