Working breakfast on EMN study on migrant access to social security and health care in Slovakia, Bratislava, 13 September 2013

On 13 September 2013, EMN National Contact Point in the Slovak Republic organised a working breakfast on the upcoming EMN focused study entitled Migrant Access to Social Security and Health Care in the Slovak Republic: Policies and Practice which will be elaborated by a contracted Slovak expert.

The meeting was an opportunity to present specifications and aims of the study which will map policies and procedures in the EU Member States including Slovakia and provide instructions for policy makers in order to find the most efficient ways to satisfy the basic needs of migrant workers. It will focus both on national and EU rules as well as administrative procedures dealing with access of third-country nationals to social security and health care.

The breakfast was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic; Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family; Social Insurance Agency; and the Bureau of Border and Aliens Police.
