IOM International Organization for Migration and Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic as the members of the EMN National contact point in the Slovak Republic arranged an expert meeting on Migration Policy of the Slovak Republic with outlook to 2020.
It was held on 28 and 29 March 2011 in the facitlity of the Ministry of Interior 'Maják' in Senec. Participants represented state administration, research institutions, non-governmental sector as well as independent experts. The main goal of the two-day meeting was to discuss basic points of the future Migration Policy of the Slovak Republic and suggest measures and principles this document should include in order to create a document contributing to better living standard of the citizens of the Slovak Republic. During the discussion EMN activities and engagement were appreciated and participants were challenged to use ideas and information produced within the EMN in the preparation of the material.
