National EMN Conference on Austria and the global competition for talent – approaches to the immigration of (highly) qualified third-country nationals, Vienna, 12 June 2013

Austrian EMN National Contact Point (NCP) hosted a conference on Austria and the global competition for talent – approaches to the immigration of (highly) qualified third-country nationals in Vienna on June 12, 2013.

The conference aimed at analysing various policies and perspectives connected with the migration of highly qualified workers – from the points of view of the country of origin and destination, private sector, etc. Furthermore, the outcomes of the EMN national study on Attracting (highly) qualified third-country nationals to Austria were introduced. Panel discussion at the end of the conference provided the Austrian experts with the opportunity to present their future perspectives of such immigration into Austria.
