Asylum and Migration Overview 2024

The overview provides information on key changes in legislation, policies, operations, and statistical trends that occurred in European countries, including Slovakia, in all areas of migration and integration of foreigners from non-EU countries during 2024. The overview analyzes national and European developments in legal migration, international protection, temporary protection, integration of foreigners including citizenship, border control, irregular migration, return and reintegration of migrants, the external dimension of migration, human trafficking, and focuses specifically on unaccompanied minors. The European overview is supplemented by a separate statistical annex and an online summary.
