EMN Slovakia supported the discussion on application practice in employment, integration and protection of third-country nationals

The International Organization for Migration (IOM), as the coordinator of the National Contact Point of the European Migration Network for Slovakia, organised an EMN Roundtable in Bratislava on 13 February 2025 focused on the application practice in the employment, integration and protection of third-country nationals.

The aim of this meeting was to exchange information on current state of play as well as to identify best practices and challenges in the employment, integration and protection of foreign workers from outside the European Union.  

The meeting took the form of a discussion between representatives of state administration bodies covering this agenda. Among the participants were representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the SR, the Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the SR, the National Labour Inspectorate, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the SR, the Ministry of Justice of the SR, the Ministry of Interior of the SR, including the Migration Office, The National Unit to Combat Irregular Migration of the Bureau of the Border and Foreign Police of the Police Force Presidium, the Crime Prevention Department, the Foreign Aid Department and the Bureau of Border and Foreign Police of the Police Force Presidium, as well as the representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
