In June, as part of Henkel Slovensko Diversity Month, employees participated in an interactive workshop on the EMN educational tool Destination Europe. The event facilitated by the EMN Slovakia gave participants an opportunity to discuss migration policies and their impacts on people´s lives.
The session kicked off with an engaging presentation on global and local migration trends, shedding light on the current migration facts and figures as well as the most common myths connected to this topic. This was followed by an interactive role-play activity using Destination Europe. Participants delved into complex decision-making processes concerning migration policies at local, national, and European levels. They explored the diverse experiences of three migrants – Yulia, Ahmed, and Sunil – and reflected on aspirations and challenges faced by these main characters who are navigating their unique migration scenarios.

Educational tool Destination Europe provided Henkel Slovensko employees with an opportunity to actively participate in the discussion and also contributed to a better understanding of complex migration issues. In addition, during the break, participants could experience virtual reality depicting the stories of forcibly displaces people.
