Do you need to know who is who in migration in Slovakia? We have prepared a simple overview for you

In the document Organisation of Asylum and Migration Policies in the Slovak Republic you will find which institutions and organisations are responsible for the particular areas of migration from the non-EU countries. It provides also overview of policies, strategies and legislative acts governing international migration in the Slovak Republic.

In 2021:

  • Slovakia adopted Migration Migration Policy of the Slovak Republic with a view to 2025 and Recovery and Resilience Plan which is devoted to international migration within the Component 10 – Attracting and Retaining Talent;
  • The position of ambassador-et-large for migration at the Ministry of Foreign and Eiropean Affairs ceased to exist;
  • Ministry of Interior became steering body for the Internal Security Fund (ISF), the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), and Border Management and Visa Instrument (BMVI) in the programme period 2021 – 2027.

The data is valid as of September 2021.

Overviews are available also for other EU Member States, Georgia, Moldova and Norway.
