In 2021:
- Slovakia adopted Migration Migration Policy of the Slovak Republic with a view to 2025 and Recovery and Resilience Plan which is devoted to international migration within the Component 10 – Attracting and Retaining Talent;
- The position of ambassador-et-large for migration at the Ministry of Foreign and Eiropean Affairs ceased to exist;
- Ministry of Interior became steering body for the Internal Security Fund (ISF), the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), and Border Management and Visa Instrument (BMVI) in the programme period 2021 – 2027.
