On 22 May in Bratislava, Slovakia, International Organization for Migration (IOM), Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic and Human Rights League as members of European Migration Network (EMN) organized the EMN Working Breakfast with journalists. Besides the journalists and hosts, representatives of the Migration Office of MoI and the Committee for the Prevention and the Elimination of Racism, Xenophobia, Anti-Semitism and Other Forms of Intolerance of MoI were also present.
The aim of the meeting was to introduce recommendations of experts for communicating the topic of migration and integration in media, to discuss needs and challenges related to that as well as necessity of using correct terminology when presenting the topic. Members of the EMN also presented current situation and key players in the field of migration in Slovakia. The EMN outputs providing information on migration and asylum policies in the Slovak Republic and EU were also disseminated to participants.
