Thursday, 06 February 2014 17:40

This annual publication of International Organization for Migration (IOM) deals with the latest trends in international migration. It discusses emerging policy issues and provides regional recent developments in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania. Current issue titled The World Migration Report 2013: Migrant Well-being and Development analyses the impact of migration on quality of life and human development across a wide range of dimensions. It draws upon the findings of a unique source of data – the Gallup World Poll, conducted in more than 150 countries.

The report informs about the most significant political and legislative developments, as well as public debates, in the fields of migration and asylum which occurred in the EU, its Member States and Norway during the year 2016, with the focus on third-country nationals rather than EU nationals. It also contains relevant statistical data. The report for the Slovak Republic describes national developments and put them in the context of the EU policies and legislation.
